I have known Mike "Big Zoom" Zolk and his son Mike "Lil Zoom" Zolk for as long as I can remember, playing with and against Lil Zoom while Big Zoom coached. I grew up in the Northeast and attended Archbishop Wood. After I was drafted by the Cincinnati Reds, Sluggersville became my offseason home where I would go to improve my game and get ready for the next season. I have been lucky enough to work with and be coached by great Major Leaguers and Hall of Famers. With that being said, there are only two people I trust outside of the Reds to work on my swing and defense with. Big Zoom and Lil Zoom are those two people. They are by far the most dedicated and passionate people I have come across; they help me with whatever I ask at any time of the day during the off-season. I spend as much time with them as I do anybody, and I see how amazing they are working with players of all ages every day.

They are extremely knowledgeable and have a special way of getting kids to understand what they are teaching while having a ton of fun. They instill the right values in every kid who comes through the Sluggersville doors. They are all about hard work while having a blast doing it. Most importantly, they teach kids to have confidence and a strong belief in themselves! I recommend them to anyone who asks without hesitation. There is absolutely no one better to send your son or daughter to then Big Zoom and Lil Zoom. They truly have become my second family, and my off-season time will always be spent with them at Sluggersville!
